Marketplace Mission: Living Faith Simply in Everyday Life

For some, faith feels heavy. For others, it’s faded. Still others carry wounds or questions that don’t seem to have a home in traditional church spaces.

But what if life with Jesus isn’t meant to fit in a building—or even a belief system?
What if it’s meant to move with you into the places you already go every day—your work, your relationships, your conversations?

That’s the heartbeat of what we’re seeing unfold in quiet corners of the world—like Eldoret and Nakuru, Kenya—where people are rediscovering a kind of faith that’s real, active, and alive where they already are.

Key Takeaways

  1. Faith doesn’t have to fit in a church building.
Jesus can meet you in your work, your home, your doubts, and your everyday life.

  2. Your job, creativity, and relationships can be part of God’s mission.
Ministry isn’t just for pastors—it’s for anyone who’s willing to listen and respond where they are.

  3. Discipleship is more than knowledge—it’s becoming.
Maturity in Christ shows up in how we live, love, and lead in real-world spaces.

  4. The marketplace can be holy ground.
God is raising up people in business, tech, education, and trades to carry light where it’s needed most.

  5. You’re not disqualified by doubt, pain, or questions.
There’s room to grow, rebuild, and rediscover faith that’s real and rooted.

What We Saw in Kenya

In Eldoret, believers gathered not for a big show or flashy message, but to talk about something simple: maturity in Christ. What does it look like to move from knowing about Jesus to becoming more like Him—in the small moments of home, the rhythms of work, the flow of community?

What stood out wasn’t the teaching. It was the hunger. People lingered. They prayed together. They opened their Bibles. They asked hard questions. It wasn’t a revival event—it was family coming back to the table.

In Nakuru, we saw something just as beautiful, but from a different angle. Over 100 entrepreneurs, students, and community leaders gathered to talk about work, business, technology—and how those things intersect with the Kingdom of God.

You could feel the shift as people realized:

“My job is not separate from my faith. It’s where my faith is supposed to shine.”

For many, this was the first time they saw their work, their calling, and even their creative ideas as part of God’s mission.

🙋‍♀️ What Does This Mean for You?

Whether you feel wounded, curious, disconnected, or just quietly longing for more, here’s the invitation:

What if following Jesus isn’t only about personal healing—but about joining Him in healing the world around you?

That doesn’t have to be complicated. It might look like:

  • Opening your home for a simple meal and honest conversation

  • Asking how your job can serve people, not just pay bills

  • Starting a small prayer rhythm with a few friends

  • Mentoring someone who’s where you used to be

  • Listening for God’s voice during your commute, not just at church

You don’t need a pulpit to live on mission.
You need a listening heart, a willing spirit, and the freedom to believe that Jesus wants to work through you—not just in you.

🕊 The Way of Simplicity

This is the way of Simply Organic Faith.
Not a new program. Not a step-by-step formula. Just an open invitation to live differently—with Jesus at the center, wherever life takes you.

Wherever you find yourself—wounded, curious, rebuilding, distant, or hungry—there’s space for you to belong. And maybe even space to believe that your faith was always meant to multiply.

“As you go, make disciples…” (Matthew 28:19)
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart…” (Colossians 3:23)

This isn’t church as usual.
It’s Kingdom life, lived simply.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: I’m spiritually burned out. Is this for me?
A: Yes. This isn’t another program or performance. It’s about coming back to Jesus at your own pace, in safe community, and learning to walk with Him again—even through the rubble.

Q: What if I’ve never been in church—or walked away years ago?
A: You’re welcome here. You don’t have to clean up, catch up, or pretend. Jesus meets us where we are, not where we think we’re supposed to be.

Q: How can work or business be part of my faith?
A: If God cares about all of life, then your work matters. Whether you’re in a trade, at home, running a business, or dreaming of a new idea—your gifts, time, and creativity can serve people and reflect God’s heart.

Q: Do I need a group or a church to start?
A: Not necessarily. Faith can start small—through a conversation, a meal, a prayer, or just slowing down to listen. But you don’t have to stay alone. We’d love to walk with you and help you connect.

Q: What’s one simple next step I can take?
A: Ask Jesus this question: “Where are You already at work in my everyday life—and how can I join You there?” Then listen. And maybe tell someone what you’re hearing.

Exodus 7 is not primarily a story about Moses, Pharaoh, or the plagues. It is a story about God making Himself known. As Moses and Aaron obey, resistance exposes the heart, false power is revealed, and God shows that He alone is Lord.
